Sunday Club Rides
The usual Sunday club ride leaves the Pink Pub at
9am. We have a 'traditional route' to
Stansted with a stop at Tangmere to meet anyone joining us there.
If the group is sufficient, we take the opportunity to split at Lavant and for some to take a more challenging (faster and hillier) route to Stansted. We anticipate the split
group will set a pace of between 18-20 and will proceed without break to Stansted to re-join the rest for coffee and cake. Please make sure you can maintain this pace before joining them. If
you have any doubts please speak to one of the group leaders beforehand.
For everyone this should be a social, hopefully fun ride, please don't think you are not fit, too slow etc. ALL are welcome, so don't be shy.
BRCC
Club ride format is observed, so no-one left behind, mechanical assistance given if required and
we take a relaxed/steady Sunday morning pace. This is meant to be a enjoyable,
social opprotunity to get out there and share the love of cycling. There are
other chances to race and 'conquer the hills' or 'beat the strava segments' if
that's want you want to do.
Although assistance will be given with any mechanical issues, please bring a basic repair kit with you including a spare tube, pump and tyre levers. If you're not sure, have a chat with any of the regular members while you're out with us to see what they would recommend you include.
We do try to keep the web page up to date but please check our Facebook
group page for any last-minute changes.
Whether it’s the 9am club ride, sportive, training or any one of the other events
you take part in, here’s hoping for good weather, may the wind always be behind you and the puncture fairies be on holiday. Have
a great ride and be safe.
The club has a long and rich history in the local area. We cater for all standards of cycling, from beginner to veteran.
Whether you just want to get more from your cycling in a safe and friendly environment. Explore some of the wonderful local countryside with other likeminded people who will look out for each other and encourage you to do more whilst keeping a realistic pace and achievable goals.
Perhaps you want to develop more advanced cycling activities such as longer sportives riding or to enter the competitive Time Trial and Road Racing scene.
Whatever your ability is now and whatever your aim is for the future, if it's cycling related, then BRCC will always offer a warm welcome and try to help you to achieve what you want in a friendly and supportive way. Of course, cake and coffee during that journey is optional!
See our 'Club Rides' page for more details on our weekly organised rides.

Bognor Regis Cycling Club, Is raising money throughout 2019 for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance service. They provide a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), responding to patients who have suffered trauma or serious medical emergencies.
They operate 24 hours a day, ensuring they will be there for the most critically ill and injured people in the region. Operating two aircraft – one from the Marden base in daylight hours, and the other from their Redhill base 24 hours a day. It means that no matter where you are in Kent, Surrey or Sussex, you are never more than 20 minutes away from the life-saving care that they can bring directly to your side.
As a charity, they rely almost entirely on donations and fundraising, and without this kind support, they simply could not continue their life-saving work.
As a club we hope that we are never in a situation where we need their services, but it is good to know they are there and have decided to take this year to raise as much money as we can to towards this cause
But please give generously to the tea and coffee funds at all our events through the season.
The organisation's web site is at: https://www.kssairambulance.org.uk
